Colchester United travel to play second-placed Cheltenham Town in League Two today (kick-off 3pm).

The U's head to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium lying nine points above the relegation zone with three games remaining.

They take on a Cheltenham side who are looking to secure an automatic promotion place.

From team news to key men and the referee, all you need to know can be found below.

The manager

U's interim head coach Hayden Mullins: "It's been a really positive atmosphere and I can't keep highlighting that enough.

"The boys have been fantastic - we've asked them to get the wins and they've delivered.

"It's not finished yet and we have three games to look forward to and we're going to keep pushing.

"It'll be tough (at Cheltenham) and there'll be a lot of pressure, at times.

"It's one we're looking forward to and we're looking at ways we can hurt them and we're feeling positive.

"We need to stand up to them but we also need to be a threat ourselves."

Braintree and Witham Times:

Key battle

Colchester United skipper Harry Pell returns to the club which he helped win National League promotion, in 2016.

The tenacious midfielder is likely to directly come up against former Coventry City youngster Conor Thomas, who has been a near ever-present for the Robins, this season.

Last meeting

Colchester played out a goal-less draw with Cheltenham when the two sides met at the JobServe Community Stadium, last December.

The hard-fought draw left both sides without a win in five games, in League Two.

U's fact

Colchester are aiming to register a third successive win today. The last time they did that was under John McGreal in April, 2018.

Referee

Paul Howard will be the man in the middle for today's game between Cheltenham and Colchester.

He has taken charge of 27 games so far this season, showing 72 yellow cards and three reds.

Team news

Colchester will check on the fitness of striker Michael Folivi ahead of their trip to Cheltenham Town.

The former Watford striker, who has scored in each of the U's last two games, was forced off with a head injury early in the second half of his side's 2-0 win over Southend United, in midweek.

If fit, Folivi is set to continue his partnership in attack with Frank Nouble (pictured above).

U's interim head coach Hayden Mullins said: “Michael Folivi was taken off – he had a bang to the head and felt a bit dizzy so we’ll have to see where he’s at.

“There are a few cuts and a few knocks which you generally get, but everyone should be fine."

Callum Harriott started against Southend, despite going off injured with an ankle and Achilles injury against Walsall, last weekend.

Mullins added: "Callum is good and he trained on Thursday and he's available."

Probable U's side: George, Welch-Hayes, Eastman, Smith, Clampin, Chilvers, Pell, Wiredu, Harriott, Folivi, Nouble.

Odds

Colchester are seen by some bookmakers as 21/4 to win tomorrow, while the draw is viewed at 13/4. Cheltenham are 4/7 favourites to win.
