The unrelenting charge of Witham Town towards the Essex Senior League title is showing little sign of easing up.
Sam Taylor’s solitary strike secured a 1-0 win at Bethnal Green United to extend Witham’s unbeaten sequence to 21 games and gain revenge against the only side to have beaten them in the league this year.
With second-placed Southend Manor slipping to defeat at home against Barkingside, Town now have a six-point lead at the top, having played two games less than their rivals.
