The biggest event of the weekend for runners from Witham Running Club was the local Braintree Skyline 5.
This was the second running of the race, which also incorporated the Essex Championship.
The undulating course incorporates a short part of the Flitch Way and snakes under and over the A120 a number of times, before finishing in the shadow of the bird sculpture on the top of the mound at the Discovery Centre.
Kev Harper made a welcome return to racing and was the first Witham runner to the finish line with a time of 31 minutes 26 seconds.
