Danny Greaves believes his Witham Town side can cause an FA Cup upset.
His team are in preliminary round action against Ilford – a step higher in the non-league pyramid – at the Spicer McColl Stadium, Spa Road on Saturday.
And while he knows his side start as underdogs, Greaves insists they are more than capable of staying in the competition and adding to their earlier success against Wembley.
“If we play well and to our potential, they’ll have to be a good side to beat us,” he told the Times.
“I hope we can put in a good performance and if we do that, we’ll not be far away.
“We’ll go for it – there’s no point standing on ceremony.
“Because they are a step up above us they’ll be favourites but we can be confident, too.”
