Braintree Town assistant manager Jason Broom has urged the club’s players to maintain their excellent form.

The Iron are unbeaten in ten league matches, heading into their match at Havant and Waterlooville tomorrow.

Broom said: “We’re on a great run and we just want to keep it going.

“The performances have been very good and with 20 games left, we want to go out and play football and defend and attack as a team.

“We changed the squad in the summer and perhaps we’re a little bit further ahead now than we expected to be.

“But that doesn’t mean that we’re not ambitious to do well.

“The players have a great mentality and they all want to do well for Braintree.”

Havant currently lie in 16th place in the Blue Square South table, 12 points adrift of sixth-placed Braintree.

However, the Hawks won 2-0 at Iron earlier in the season and Broom said they will not be underestimated.

“Havant have some outstanding players and I think they’re in a false position at the moment,” said the former Dagenham and Redbridge player.

“They’ve been used to success over the last few years.

“It’ll be a tough game but we have the players who are capable of getting a result.”

Braintree have a fully fit squad to choose from against Havant.
