FORMER Braintree Town goalkeeper Jacob Knightbridge has landed a dream move to Premier League giants Spurs.

The 22-year-old, who made two appearances for the Iron in the National League in the 2024/25 season on loan from Oxford United, has linked up with the North London club’s under-21 squad.

Knightbridge, who spent time on trial with National League side Southend United earlier this summer, has been at Oxford United for the past two years.

He joined them on a free transfer in the summer of 2024, following his exit from West Ham United.

Knightbridge signed his first professional contract with the Hammers in May 2022 and played for their under-21s in a 1-0 win at Newport County, in the EFL Trophy.

The boyhood Spurs fan was also on the bench for the Hammers in their Europa League last-16 second leg against SC Freiburg, along with both legs of their quarter-final clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

Knightbridge left West Ham without making a senior appearance and during his time at Oxford, he spent short spells on loan at Braintree and AFC Totton.
