HAIRCUTS have been much in demand since the end of lockdown but Kelvin Jordan had a snip with a difference in Witham on Saturday.

Kelvin is Youth Chairman at Witham Town FC and oversees the weekly Soccability sessions.

Soccability is a programme that allows children and adults with additional needs to be able to play sport and to develop social interaction.

Kelvin volunteered to have his hair and beard cut to raise funds for Soccability.

He said: “We were hoping to raise £300 but due to the generosity of a number of people, we have raised more than £600. We are very grateful.

“Every penny helps us to expand the reach of our Soccability activities.

“Every Saturday we can see the difference that Soccability makes to the lives of the people involved.”
