TWO more Braintree Futsal Club players will be flying the flag on foreign shores as a young duo head to the Under-13 World Cup in Spain where they will be competing for Great Britain.

Hadley Quattrucci and Freddie Dewar are under-13s players for Braintree Futsal Club and will be representing Great Britain Futsal in the C13 AMF Futsal World Cup in Catalonia.

Both boys have been selected through a lengthy trial process, which began in the autumn of last year, and both Quattrucci and Dewar have been included in the final squad.

Since the trials, the Braintree pair have attended many training sessions and have played in a recent friendly match against Pakistan.

The tournament is being played this week, with the finals on Sunday and Great Britain have been drawn in a group consisting of Paraguay, Colombia, and Switzerland.

Other teams in the competition include Brazil, Argentina, Italy, and France.

Braintree Futsal Club coaches Jack Harrod and Frank Burton along with friends and family are all extremely proud of the boys and will all be wishing them the best of luck.

Burton said: "This is fantastic achievement and a huge honour for the two boys to play for their nation and this will be their first experience playing futsal abroad, but one that will live with them forever."

The selections of Quattrucci and Freddie Dewar for the Great Britain team comes on the back of international success for another Braintree Futsal Club youngster earlier this year.

Marley Baker-Burton travelled to Florida to play after being invited to be part of a Brazilian side that finished as runners-up in the under-tens category at the World Futsal Championships in Florida.
