Witham Town manager Marc Benterman hopes Tuesday night's Velocity Trophy group six trip to Hullbridge Sports will be another productive experience for him and his team.

Following a 3-0 defeatby Great Wakering Rovers in Witham's group six opener two weeks ago, the Town boss admitted that he was using their Velocity Trophy - the Isthmian League Cup - campaign to look at options within his squad and expose younger players to senior action.

The trip to Hullbridge will coincide with a busy week for Witham's team's though, and Benterman said he expected to take a more experienced side than the one that had faced Wakering.

However, he is still hoping to try out a few things as he continues to build his squad at the Simarco Stadium.

Benterman said: "We will make one or two changes, but we also have our under-18s playing on Tuesday night and then the under-23s will be playing on Wednesday and we only have so many players available. "I know I said I'd be using the Velocity Trophy games to try things out, but we may go a bit stronger than we did in the first group game against Great Wakering. "We have to use these games as productively as we can and there are a few players in the squad who may need minutes so it will be a good chance to give them a run out."
