JESSICA Judd has qualified for next month’s World Championships in the 5,000m.
Judd, who grew up on Canvey Island, finished second in Great Britain’s selection trials in Birmingham today, running 15 minutes, 35.82 seconds.
And 24-year-old Judd tweeted her joy after confirming her selection.
She wrote: “Woooo! Second at British Champs and automatic selection for Worlds. So, so happy, can’t believe it. Been a great year and so happy it gets to carry on.”
Judd, a former Castle View School pupil, also ran at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow in the 800m.
