Braintree Town are fully prepared to be party poopers at Leyton Orient on Saturday if that's what it takes for them to continue their strong form at the end of the Vanarama National League season.

The O's lead the title race at the moment and could be crowned as champions at Brisbane Road, but Braintree have shown recently that they are a match for high-fliers and will not be travelling just to make up the numbers.

Boss Danny Searle said they owe it to other sides in the title race to try to get a result so will not be doing Saturday's hosts any favours even if that means they are party poopers.

"We will 100 per cent go there and look to put in a performance to get a result," said Searle.

"If that is to the detriment of Leyton Orient winning the league then that is not our problem.

"We have shown great integrity in every game so far and that will be the same at Leyton Orient on Saturday."

Braintree head into the game on the back of three straight wins, including victories over the Easter weekend against Maidstone and Dagenham & Redbridge, and have now won four of their last five outings.

The game at Leyton Orient kicks off at 12.30pm and the game is being screened live on BT Sport on Saturday.
