Braintree Town Academy youngster and Witham Town player Alfie Cerulli has seen his form this year rewarded by a call-up to the first team squad by Iron manager Danny Searle.

The Iron announced that Searle had signed Cerulli along with adding midfield player Aaron Eyoma on loan from Derby County ahead of their Vanarama National League home match with Harrogate Town on Saturday.

Cerulli has made 19 Bostik League division north appearances for Witham this season, while Eyoma arrives at the Iron from Frank Lampard's Championship side Derby County where he has been after signing a one-year deal last summer.

Having started out as a youngster at Arsenal, Eyoma joined the Rams after impressing for their under-23s side at the end of last year and the 21-year-old has also had a short loan spell at Woking earlier in the current campaign.

He is a winger who has built a reputation for being a pacey and exciting attacking player.

Meanwhile, Searle has released Lyle Della-Verde ahead of the visit of Harrogate.

He joined joined the Iron last summer from Dartford and made 30 appearances and scored four goals.
