BRAINTREE Rugby Club's youngest players are thankful for a kind donation of training kit that will help their progression to become Black and Ambers players of the future.

Members of the Lodge of XV - a recently-formed Rugby Lodge - have presented the Braintree Rugby Club Bumbles with training bibs sponsored by the lodge.

Ollie Hougham, head coach of the Bumbles said thank you as the bibs were presented by lodge members Mike Hall, Mark Irving and John Smillie.

Hougham, who will be leaving the group at the end of this season to go on to medical school to train as a doctor, said: "This was a really kind gesture on behalf of the lodge, and the bibs will help to enhance our training sessions."

The Bumbles, a rugby group for four to six-year-olds, has been running at Braintree Rugby Club for many years, providing a pathway into competitive rugby for small children.

At least 12 of the current group will go on to become next seasons under-sevens and they are already taking part in sessions with their prospective coaches and coaches from the current under-sevens.
