THE November stableford was played out in cold and frosty conditions at Colne Valley Golf Club and just two points separated the top three players.
Phil Reeve looked set for victory only to suffer a collapse on the final three holes to finish in third on 31 points.
It allowed Matt Holbrook to sneak into second place with 32 points but it was Paul Davies who emerged victorious with 33 points following solid back nine.
The Saturday non-drawn was won by Gary McIlwaine with 39 points, with second spot going to Roger Holmes on 34 and Colin Whybrew in third on 30.
The ladies held their stableford and Lynn Anderson's 32 points proved enough to secure her victory over Cynthia Hollingsworth on 27, while Jan Edwards was a place further back with 25 points.
Steve Willingham took the honours in the seniors' monthly stableford.
His 37 points were enough to see Paul Therrien into second place and his 36 points were closely followed by Tony Hetherington and Glen Sibley on 35 points.
Hetherington took third place on countback.
