Colchester United defender George Elokobi will step into Braintree Town's squad for tonight's visit of Boreham Wood after joining the Iron on a month's loan.

The Iron have had Jon Ashton, Jake Goodman and Ian Gayle all struggling with injuries ahead of Boreham's visit in the Vanarama National League and the 30-year-old former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender will be available for the game tonight.

Elokobi, who has not been a part of the U's first-team squad so far this season, is the second loan signing made by new boss Hakan Hayrettin after bringing in midfielder Jack Muldoon from Charlton Athletic last week.
