Braintree Bowling Club’s Paul Costin has been handed the honour of being named as this year’s president of the Essex Vice Presidents’ Association.
Little is often noted of unsung members and officials who help to oil the wheels of their sports clubs, but all members owe a lot to these volunteers and Braintree Bowling Club has many behind the scenes.
Costin is one such member and the club are delighted for him to see him take up the position of president for the year.
He is still an active playing member for Braintree Bowling Club outdoors and also at Colchester Indoor Bowls Club.
After joining the Essex Vice Presidents’ Association (EVPA) in 2010, Costin became junior deputy president in 2013 and the following year was elevated to the role of senior deputy president.
