Barrie Senior managed to find a number of sizeable fish to take the win as Braintree Sea Angling Club members headed to Aldeburgh for their latest match.
The early fishing on the flood was poor, with only a few pin whiting taking the baits and most of these not making the minimum size and even when the tide turned and the fishing picked up a bit, the wind got stronger to make distance casting more difficult.
Although there were more fish the majority were still undersize.
However, Senior’s catch of nine whiting, five dabs, one flounder and a pout took the match with 163 fish points.
Paul Drake had 65 fish points from his catch of five whiting, one rockling and a dab for second and Robin Joy had one whiting, one rockling and a dab for 25 fish points in third.
