Felsted School’s under-14 boys’ hockey team have matched the effort of their under-16 counterparts in becoming Essex champions.
It is the sixth Essex title of the season for the school, after four successes from the girls.
Particularly strong performances came from the under-14s against Coopers’ Coburn 7-0 and Forest School 5-0, with a final match win against Bancrofts 3-0. In all, 15 goals were scored with none against.
Coach Loren Sherer said: “The under-14s played some fantastic two-touch pass-and-move hockey throughout the tournament and were worthy winners on the day.”
The East round of the competition will be held at Bedford Sports Centre later this month.
