Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire said he may be missing a few of his players when they travel to Chelmsford City for a pre-season friendly tonight.
The Iron make the short trip to Melbourne Park to face their local rivals hot on the heels of last night’s 1-0 defeat by Ipswich Town.
That game was a testimonial for long-serving Iron player Bradley Quinton, but may have come at a cost for Devonshire’s squad.
He admitted that Sean Marks, Chez Isaac and triallist Michael Bakare all picked up knocks against the Blues and may struggle to be ready for tonight’s game.
“I thought the lads did OK against Ipswich and the ones who came on did well,” said Devonshire.
“Both teams got something out of it.
“We have another game today, which is one I’m looking to get more out of though.
“However, there were a couple of knocks and we’ll have to wait and see how they are.
“I don’t think Sean (Marks), Michael (Bakare) or Chez (Isaac) will make it as they all took knocks.”
