Witham Town bounced back to form with a 4-0 demolition of Barkingside in Ryman League division one north.
Garry Kimble's team had seen their title bid dented by a 3-0 defeat at Thurrock on Tuesday, but Anthony Amstead's brace on his Town debut helped ease them back on track at the Village Glass Stadium.
His two goals in the second half followed strikes by Joe Sweeney either side of half-time and helped maintain Witham's unbeaten home record in the league this season.
The win leaves Witham 11 points behind division one north leaders VCD Athletic with three games in hand.
They are due to be in action at home again on Saturday when Erith and Belvedere will be the visitors.
