Here's when tougher coronavirus restrictions could be enforced in Essex
ALMOST 10,500 people have now tested positive for coronavirus in Essex.
The latest figures show there have been 8,553 confirmed cases in the Essex County Council area.
There have been 1,043 in Southend and another 897 in Thurrock.
This means in total across Essex, 10,493 people have tested positive for the virus.
The latest Government stats show a total of 634,920 people have tested positive across the UK.
This is an increase of 17,243 on the day before.
