A councillor is calling for a permanent memorial to help families honour loves ones lost to Covid-19.
Joycelyn Redsell, Tory councillor has put forward the motion to be consider at next week's full council meeting.
The motion says: "Members hereby remember those who have lost their lives due to COVID-19 during this pandemic. Furthermore this chamber agrees that the Council should consider the creation of a permanent memorial to local residents, with the intention that it could be a place for family and friends to reflect. Members would also request that Cabinet consider options for a Thurrock memorial and bring forward a future report on this."
