A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Shoebury.

Police have now launched an investigation into the assault, which took place on Ness Road, near Shoebury Café.

Officers were called shortly before 2pm yesterday afternoon (August 14), after an altercation broke out between the victim and three men, who then ran from the scene.

A 25-year-old man was admitted to hospital with stab wounds to his arm and chest. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. 

Essex Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances behind the assault and have been carrying out enquiries, reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to residents.

DS Mark Cotgrove, said: “From the information we have so far, we believe the victim was involved in an altercation with three men, who then ran off. At least one of the men was later seen in Towerfield Road.

“I would like to thank members of the public who have assisted us so far and we’d like to speak to anyone else who was in the area at the time and saw what happened or has dash cam footage.”
