AN academy has remained close for the second day in a row due to a burst water main.
Greensward Academy, Greensward Lane, Hockley, has been closed since yesterday after a pipe burst in the school's boiler room, leaving the school with no running water or working toilets.
Engineers worked all day yesterday to repair the burst, which thankfully caused no damage to the school.
Although the academy was shut, school trips carried on as normal. Tonight's parents evening will still go ahead, and it's expected Greensward will be reopened tomorrow.
