A suspected teenage dealer was arrested after officers uncovered a haul of cash and an imitation gun.
Officers from the Basildon Local Policing Team stopped and searched the 16-year-old in Wickford.
The team found hundreds of pounds in cash and two mobile phone and later recovered the immitation gun at his home.
A spokesman for the team posted on Facebook: "We’ve been fortunate enough to have the special constables in with us tonight, helping take some of the demand off of the Local And Community Policing Teams, allowing us to keep up the proactive work and arrest a 16 year old male for concern in the supply of class B drugs.
"The young male was stop and searched in Wickford and had ahold of £810 in cash and two phones.
"After his arrest officers have searched his address and found an imitation firearm in his possessions. This has been seized and will be destroyed as a result."
