A PAIR of crooks stole jewellery from a pensioner during a distraction burglary in Vange.
Two men knocked at a property in High Road at around 11am on Wednesday, September 25.
The pair asked if there were any jobs which needed doing at the address.
The homeowner, a woman in her 70s, said some roof tiles needed repairing.
The men were then invited inside the property where they proceeded to steal jewellery worth more than £100.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Both men were described as being white and aged in their mid-20s.
"One of the men was described as being of a slim build, around 5ft 7ins and had a red beard and moustache and the other was described as being 5ft 9ins and had black hair."
