A MAN has suffered seriosu leg injuries after being attacked in an Aveley Park. 

A man in his 20s reported that he was walking through Aveley Recreation Ground at 2am on Thursday 22 August when he was approached by two teenagers. 

They asked for a lighter and, when the victim said he didn’t have one, he was assaulted with an unknown object, leaving him with serious injuries to his legs.

The two boys left on foot in the direction of Mr Pizza and Chicken.

Both are believed to be between the ages of 17 and 20, one was black and another was white. 

After conducting initial enquiries, police are asking for anyone with information about this incident to speak to Thurrock’s Local Policing Team.
