MULTIPLE police vehicles were spotted descending into a road on Canvey.
Around eight police cars, two ambulances and two paramedic cars were spotted in North Avenue at around 7.30pm last night.
Online reports stated the police were responding to an incident within a property on the road.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman at an address in North Avenue, Canvey at around 6pm on Tuesday.
"We attended and found a woman with cuts to her hands.
"A man was arrested but further enquiries have established no offences have taken place and he has been released without charge."
The ambulance service has been approached for comment.
