WE’RE all used to cars inconsiderately blocking pavements.

During the course of a normal week I usually encounter the same two cars on my short walk to Aveley High Street.

First up is the silver Ford fully parked on the pavement at the end of the alley between Manor Close and Mill Road.

Then there is the silver Vauxhall Astra with two wheels on the pavement in the High Street.

It’s bad enough that these two vehicles think the pavements are for them, but it’s impossible when someone pulls their bins out at two thirty on a Thursday afternoon and leaves them alongside the parked Astra.

To be fair I don’t know if the bins or the car was there first, either way it left no room for pedestrians.

I had to move the bins to stop a lady with a buggy and two young children having to walk out into the road to continue her journey up the hill.

How are you, as car drivers, going to feel when we start walking in the road because the pavement is blocked?
