Impression - how the 4G pitch will look

Bosses say there will be an indoor 4G five-a-side pitch, indoor golf simulators and a gaming zone.

The building is currently being built in Radford Way.

A spokesperson from Players Lounge, told the Echo: “It’s looking really good.

“It’s coming along really nicely.

“It’s a multi-purpose venue with the four main areas.

“It is focussed around being a family friendly place, with all ages welcome.

“There isn’t just a bar with football on it, there’s so much more.

“A lot of money has been spent on it; the directors are from the community so they know what’s popular.”

He added: “The feedback has been amazing so far.

“It hopefully should be open within eight weeks. We’ve got a planned date but that will be announced shortly.”

Parties are able to book the upstairs of the restaurant for events while gamers will enjoy the fully insulated games room as keen golfers practise their swing on the award-winning golf simulators.

Residents have written of their delight with hundreds commenting on an announcement post on social media.

“You will be able to work hard and socialise at the same time; it’s a great combination. It’s encouraging to see this much investment into our community.”

I’m really excited about it.”
