A MAIN road has remained closed as works to remove a footbridge have overrun.
High Road, Laindon is closed until noon today (Feb 19) while Swan Housing Association remove the bridge.
It is part of the multi-million pound project for the new Laindon Centre.
A Swan Housing Association spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank you for your patience whilst we carry out these essential works.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the temporary closure of High Road will be extended until the afternoon of Tuesday 19 February to ensure the safe removal of the footbridge.”
