SOUTHEND Airport is celebrating after its one millionth passenger passed through its gates.

Morgan Chasse, from Billericay, was treated to VIP service at the airport yesterday after winning a Golden Ticket for being the one millionth passenger to fly out of the airport with Stobart Air.

The 24-year old, who is originally from France but moved to Essex when she was 11 and now works in a 5-star hotel, was flying out to Rennes to visit her sister.

Her Golden Ticket entitled Morgan to free parking, super speedy fast track through security, entry into the sophisticated Skylife Lounge with a bottle of champagne waiting for her on ice, a goodie bag crammed full of fantastic products from World Duty Free and the chance to be the very first person to board her flight. She also won a voucher for pair of return flights to a Stobart Air destination of her choice.

The lucky winner said: “I can’t believe it - I am never this lucky. I never even felt this lucky when I met my boyfriend!”

“I’ve used Southend lots of times as it is so simple to get to and it’s just such a great, quick and hassle free experience.”

There were also dozens of delicious Millionaire Shortbread Cupcakes handed out to all the passengers flying out of Southend as part of the celebrations.
