Witnesses to a crash are being urged to come forward.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the A12 this morning.
A Land Rover and a Ford Transit Van were in collision between junction 13 and 14, northbound, shortly after 6.30am.
The driver of the Land Rover, a man in his 50s, was taken hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident particularly those who may have captured the collision on their dash cam.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Alan Discombe at Stanway Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting incident 187 of February 7.
