Man admits possessing indecent images of children
A MAN has admitted possessing hundreds of child sex abuse images.
Matthew Friedrich, 28, of Central Avenue, Benfleet, appeared at Basildon Magistrates on September 20 where he pleaded guilty to three counts of possessing indecent photographs of children.
The charges related to images found on a device by Essex Police which had been downloaded between January 2005 and November 2017.
The device contained 247 indecent images of children which ranged from category A - the most serious - to category C.
Friedrich will appear at Basildon Crown Court for sentencing next month.
He is required to register with police at Basildon police station while out on bail until that time.
