Police issue warning after fireworks let off at cars
Police have issued a stern warning after reports boy racers have been letting off fireworks from their cars in the Basildon area.
The message has come from the Essex Police Southern Roads Unit and was shared this morning after reports surfaced last night.
A spokesman for the team said on Twitter: "We have had reports of 'Boy Racers' letting off fireworks tonight from cars in Basildon.
"Let me be clear this is beyond anti-social, its dangerous and we will be coming for your licenses.
"If anyone has details or dash cam footage please contact us. @EP_RPU_South @BasildonCPT SW"
The message was retweeted by Basildon Council.
