A man has appeared at court in connection with the stabbing of a teenager.
Emergency services flooded London Road, Southend, near the town's high street, after it was reported a man was stabbed in the head on Monday, September 25.
A 19-year-old was rushed to hospital and received treatment for non life-threatening injuries.
Ryan Tudor, 26, of Kilworth Avenue, Southend, was arrested and charged with possession of a knife in a public place, possession of cannabis and inflicting actual bodily harm.
Tudor appeared in the dock at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 26.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case and the matter was referred to Basildon Crown Court on October 24 where Tudor is expected to enter pleas.
He was remanded in custody until that time.
