Attack scene - at the junction of Cromwell Road and Orsett Road, Grays
A SUSPECTED acid attack and stabbing closed off a road in Grays this evening.
Police set up a cordon on Cromwell Road, at the junction of Orsett Road near Haart Estate Agents.
Witnesses have told how a person, believed to be a man, threw an unknown substance at another man near the hair salon Locks of Love.
Two fire engines, two ambulances and five police cars attended.
The attack happened at about 6.30pm.
The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.
Essex Police have yet to give out any specific details about the incident.
