A NEW nursery will provide places for up to 80 children when the new Beaulieu Square development is completed.

The new development, which will have shops, a restaurant, a health centre and Sainsbury's Local store, is based on the outskirts of Chelmsford and will also include the new nursery, which is set to be run by nursery provider Bright Horizons.

Bright Horizons, which has been running for 25 years, will cater for children aged three months to five years old.

Tom Chambers, Development Manager from Bright Horizons, said: “We are trusted across the UK to provide naturally inspiring, exceptional care and education for the early years and we are delighted to be part of this fantastic new Beaulieu neighbourhood.

"With spacious family homes, plenty of green space, an attractive central square, and new schools underway, this is a family-friendly development in every sense of the word, and we are looking forward to becoming part of the new community.”

Construction on the Countryside and L&Q development, which also includes one and two bedroom apartments, has just started and facilities are expected to open in the summer of 2017.

Andrew Carrington, Managing Director of Strategic Land at Countryside, comments: “Designed with families in mind, Beaulieu is a fantastic place to raise children, so a new day nursery is a very welcome addition to Beaulieu Square. Of course, as the children grow up, they will be able to attend the new first rate primary and secondary schools planned for Beaulieu, joining the well-known New Hall Independent School which occupies a central position within the Beaulieu development.

“Providing first-class amenities and a central point for residents to come together is crucial to the long-term success of Beaulieu, and vital to ensure the new community can thrive. We recognise that new communities are more than just new homes, so commencing the delivery of the neighbourhood centre in this initial phase will provide all residents with access to excellent facilities from the outset.”
