A marching band is threatened with closure unless it can attract new members.
Braintree Marxmen is now down to just 10 or 11 members, plus about 10 flag spinners, known as the colourguard.
It takes children aged eight upwards and adults, from anywhere in the surrounding area, including Colchester, Chelmsford and Suffolk.
It meets at Tabor Science College in Panfield Lane, Braintree, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm.
