Braintree District Council has distributed £54million in business grants since the Government’s financial support measures began as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.

Grants ranging from £500 to £25,000 from 12 different grant schemes have been paid to support businesses.

I know many have found this financial support invaluable, with more than 10,700 grants being administered during this period and money coming from both central and local government, including two grants financed by Essex County Council to support businesses who fell outside the scope of other schemes.

The first-class, cross-department team at Braintree District Council continues to work extremely diligently, not only dispatching grants but also signposting business support and advice.

They remain on hand to offer support and Braintree District Council will be doing all it can, working with Essex County Council and other partners to support our businesses as we move positively towards a period of continuing recovery.
