A VILLAGE is asking residents about their ideas on helping to save the environment as part of a forward-thinking initiative.
The Tollesbury Climate Crisis Partnership, which works with Tollesbury Parish Council, is looking for eco-friendly people who can help highlight examples of low-carbon living.
This could include the reduction on reliance on oil for heating residents’ homes by installing solar panels and thermal systems, and ground water or air source heat pump systems instead.
A spokesman said: “Although some of these systems may be outside the pockets of many of us, there is funding available for neighbourhood projects which could bring them within reach.
“We are starting to look at whether a community energy scheme for Tollesbury might be possible.
“We’re also looking at transport, including cycling, greening up our area, protecting our wonderful marine environment and more.”
