RESIDENTS of a village where a couple lost their home in a fire have pulled together to raise more than £4,000 to support them.
The money has been raised by Kreon Wynn who lives in Bradfield where the fire burnt down a thatched cottage on Friday night.
The blaze, which started just before 8.15pm, left the couple homeless.
Community spirit has shone through however, as a neighbour kindly offered them accommodation while their life has been turned upside down.

A statement on the GoFundMe page said: “Following the devastating fire at Thatched Cottage, I'm asking Bradfield to come together as a community to offer some short term financial support to Mel and Matt who now find themselves homeless.”
Fire crews attended the scene at Wix Road, Bradfield, and following an investigation declared they believed it to be an accident.
When the fire services arrived on Friday evening, around 50 per cent of the cottage's roof, which measures roughly 5 metres by 10 metres, was on fire.
