HARWICH’s lifeboat crew were called upon four times in the past week.
The inshore lifeboat was paged to an incident in Ipswich at 8.30am on Sunday.
However, while the crew were on their way to the scene, the lifeboat was stood down and released to return to the station.
By 3.15pm the inshore lifeboat was called out again, this time to assist a vessel in difficulty in the River Deben in Suffolk.
The day ended with a further request for the launch of the inshore lifeboat at 11.20pm, to support a police-led incident towards Ipswich, which was later resolved.
The most recent call for Harwich RNLI was at about 11.30pm on Tuesday where the lifeboat was called out to support a police incident in Suffolk.
However, the launch of the lifeboat was cancelled as the incident had been resolved.
Daniel Sime, RNLI press officer, said some incidents involved police, firefighters and ambulance crews.
