ANOTHER three deaths of patients who had tested positive for coronavirus have been confirmed at the trust which runs Colchester Hospital.
NHS England figures released yesterday afternoon confirm another three patients have died at the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Colchester and Ipswich hospitals.
The latest deaths are the first to be confirmed at the trust since Saturday.
A total of 344 people have now died at both hospitals after testing positive for the condition.
Another death has also been confirmed of a patient at Fryatt Hospital in Dovercourt, which is run by Anglian Community Enterprises.
This brings the total number of deaths at the hospital to 25.
There was one other death recorded in Essex, with another patient dying at the Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital Trust.
In the latest figures, NHS England confirmed another 79 deaths had taken place in hospitals across the country.
A total of 296,857 positive cases of coronavirus have now been confirmed in Britain, with 41,736 deaths directly association with the virus as of Tuesday afternoon.
