TWO people have been taken to hospital following a major road crash which is believed to have involved five vehicles.
Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service and officers from Essex Police were called to the Shair Lane junction, in Colchester Road, Weeley, shortly after 2.30pm today.
According to Essex Travel News, the road was blocked in both directions after a traffic accident involving a possible five vehicles.

As a result of the crash, a man and a woman have been transported to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment and care.
The front of a silver BMW was also seriously damaged but full information on the other cars involved is still unknown.
At the scene, the emergency services have been working together to keep traffic moving safely, but commuters have been warned to expect lengthy delays and urged to avoid the route if they can.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "Three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to a road traffic collision on the A133 near Shair Lane.
"A man and a woman were transported to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment and care."
Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
