DETECTIVES are appealing for help to trace a man in connection with an assault investigation.
Police were called to the area outside the Tesco store at The Grove Centre, Witham, at around 1pm on Wednesday, April 8.
Officers received reports a man had abused a couple before spitting in a man's face.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We would like to thank store staff for helping the couple, who were with a young child, following the incident."
A CCTV image of a man police would like to speak to in connection with the investigation has been released.
