TWO more patients have died after testing positive for coronavirus at the trust which runs Colchester Hospital, official figures show.

NHS England data shows two more deaths were registered at the East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust in the 24 hours up to this afternoon.

It brings the total number of deaths at the trust to 328.

Another patient has also died after testing positive for coronavirus at Fryatt Hospital, Dovercourt, which is run by Anglia Community Enterprise.

Three more patients have died at the Southend University Hospital Trust. 

Across England a further 149 people have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 26,383.

A spokesman for NHS England said: "Patients were aged between 35 and 101 years old.

"11 of the 149 patients, aged 70 and 95, had no known underlying health condition."

Their families have been informed.
