DELIGHTED hospital workers enjoyed a hot meal thanks to the efforts of kindly Indian restaurant staff.
Minar Miah, owner of the Mogul restaurant, in High Street, Manningtree, gave away 150 homemade Bangladeshi dishes to staff at Colchester Hospital.
Keeping in mind social distancing, his team visited the hospital on Wednesday to deliver the well-recieved feast, which consisted of chicken biryani and 50 vegetarian meals.
Mr Miah, 63, said he decided to play his part help to “keep the Great in Great Britain”.
“They are all working really hard and they were pleased to get these meals,” he said.
“I’ve already had people texting me saying how nice it was, but it is these hospital workers who deserve our thanks.”
