A TEENAGER is set to appear in court after being charged in connection with a domestic abuse investigation.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with assault by beating, threats to commit criminal damage and two counts of criminal damage following an incident in Braintree.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday. May 20.
It follows reports a teenage girl was assaulted in Mill Park Drive at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, May 18.
Police say they also received reports a car and a bag was damaged.
The charges were secured by an officer within Chelmsford Domestic Abuse Investigation Team.
