A VILLAGE pub is doing its part to raise money for the NHS by hosting a competition for a full wining and dining experience.

The Kings Head pub in Gosfield is hosting a raffle for a meal for four with all the proceeds, after costs, going to NHS charities.

The prize for winning is a full three course Sunday roast for four people with wine when the Kings Head reopens after closing its doors to customers due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Matthew Arnold runs the Kings Head after reopening it in mid-2018.

He said: "I have set up a raffle of sorts for people to buy tickets for a chance of winning a meal at my pub, The Kings Head in Gosfield.

"There are 1000 x £1 tickets to be sold and all money is going directly to NHS Charities.

"If this proves successful then I will do more.

"All information is kept up to date daily on our Facebook page at facebook.com/TheKingsHeadPHGosfield/."

Despite having closed its door to customers due to the virus, the Gosfield pub is still a providing takeaway food service for customers.
